Peace United Methodist Church Choir

Presents A Christmas Cantata

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15TH at 7:00 PM

The Senior Choir here at Peace Church will be presenting a Christmas Cantata “Everlasting Light”, The Promise of Christmas. It is written by four composers which is unusual, Lloyd Lanson, Mary McDonald, Jay Rouse and Larry Shackley.

Light is synonymous with the Christmas Season. We see lights on houses, on our Christmas Trees, on our street lights, and on the candles burning brightly. The birth of one Child brought a light that does not fade or burn out, it is a light we desperately need in our world so full of darkness. Jesus’ Light lives on eternally. It is an “Everlasting Light.” A lot of the pieces and narrations reflect the light of God’s Son, Jesus.

Several individuals in the choir will be involved in solos, duets and quartets. They are Rosanne Knower, David Brock, Kathy Schwinefus, Amanda Vitale, Connie Frye, Bill   Twining, Collin Moore, Corey Kanable, Gretchen Kanable, Pam Peterson-Kintz and Cody Kintz.

The choir, as usual, will be accompanied by Sandy Keller on the piano and Brian Moore on the keyboard.

The Cantata songs are being sung every Sunday morning for the next two months and will be done from the beginning to the end with the narration on Sunday night, December 15th, at 7:00 p.m.

Please invite your friends, neighbors, family to see this wonderful performance by our choir. You won’t be disappointed.
