Dear PEACE UMC Members,
In consideration of the serious health situation regarding the Covid 19 virus, the recently declared local health emergency, guidance from State and Federal health officials and the recent statement from Bishop Jung, we have determined that it is best to cancel worship and all other church activities for the time being. We are also closing the church office, but staff will remain available by phone and email. We know a number of our active members fall into the risk categories for exposure to Covid 19 and want to do all we can to keep everyone safe.
This decision is not taken lightly. Much prayerful consideration has gone into it. We encourage our members to remain engaged with each other and the community through this crisis in an attitude of Christian love and service, while being mindful of current guidance on travel, personal contact and hygiene practices.
PEACE UMC will still be available for those who have spiritual needs even though our building is closed. We will continue to minister in any way we can to share Christ’s love with everyone around us. Also please remember the church still needs your support. Please consider giving online through Vanco, your bank or send your tithes to the church. If you choose to go through Vanco, please contact Joan and she will send you the form for you to fill out and get back to her.
It is extremely important for all to stay safe. Our prayers go out to all who are experiencing the challenges of staying home. The church office is also closed as Joan is working from home. You can contact her at 608-475-2203 if the need arises. We are very concerned about all of our members.
Blessings to all,
Pastor Rey Diaz and Staff
