Calling all knitters and those who crochet! If you like to knit or crochet, we need you. Now, if you are like some of us that don’t do either, then please go to a variety store and purchase items for our school children to help see them through the winter months. A number of area stores have most of these items on sale.
The Mitten Tree is looking for items like warm caps, mittens, gloves, scarves. Also needed are children’s socks (please place in plastic bag), The Mitten Tree is up, waiting for your warm weather gear and will be in place through the first Sunday in January.
Shoebox update:
We delivered 170 filled shoe boxes to Grace Community Church for shipping to Samaritans Purse distribution site in Chicago.
